UPCOMING CONCERTS: June 2014

Spending the summer in Vermont? Love driving an hour or more to your nearest concert venue? Then boy do we have plans for you! The first week of June has some of the best concert action Vermont has seen in a long time, and the rest of the month is chock full of shows in and around Vermont worth noting. So, we noted them for you!

If you’re up for a quick drive to Canada, we’ve also handpicked a few shows in Montreal during June that might be worth the trip across the border. The Montreal based art-rock band Ought will be coming down to Winooski later this month to play a show at The Monkey House, which is a tiny venue right outside Burlington that’s basically a bar plus some couches and a stage raised one foot of the ground. That kind of scene combined with the raw energy of Ought should make for a great show. Ja Rule is coming to Higher Ground at the end of June, but

will not be in attendance, so we won’t be either. Below you’ll find shows, dates, ticket information, and a sampler playlist.
