We here at WRMC know that your music taste isn’t one-dimensional. As much as we love to show off those retro rarities and B-side tracks, we all fall victim to the occasional 2010s mix, party classic, and sing-in-the-car hit. Everybody wants their music taste to be cooler than everyone else’s, but on this show, we welcome a tasteful Britney Spears chart-topper just as much as a Pink Floyd deep cut. Please enjoy a collection of our favorite aux-worthy gems, alternated with those guilty pleasure gold mines that “ruined your music stats”

Giovanni’s Room explores the dimensions of gender and sexuality as manifestations of self-fulfilling, egotistical performance. As an homage to Giovanni’s Room by James Baldwin, Emilia (the really cool hot DJ) will further explore the cultural propensity to distinguish and label “otherness” according to colonial visions of sexuality via the eroticization of female and subaltern bodies. In reality, I would have been named Giovanni if I were born a “boy” and I just really want to live that Italian dream. In this space, I am Giovanni. And the studio is like my room for real.
