WRMC Presents: Top 91 2015

On the stormy night of Monday May 11, 2015, WRMC DJs and music lovers alike gathered at The Mill to countdown the Top 91 tracks of the past twelve months and to celebrate another successful year of programming. ‘Twas a night of highs and lows, counting from high to low. We ate fine cheese and we drank cheap beer. We danced to Shamir and we wallowed with Sufjan. We listened to “Really Love” by D’Angelo followed by Sleater-Kinney‘s “Price Tag” only to hear ILOVEMAKKONEN‘s “Tuesday” just a few minutes later and think, “2015: what a time to be alive.” From two head bangers colliding to a sprained ankle during Courtney Barnett‘s “Pedestrian at Best,” the Top 91 dance floor saw a number of casualties, not to mention a late night pile of bodies inexplicably writhing on the ground. Drake brought home the award for most appearances on the list itself; 4, or 6 in total if you count features/collaborations) putting him one step ahead of Top 91 favorite Kendrick Lamar. Needless to say, we’re still waiting on Kanye. If you missed the party or lost track of what played when, fear not!
