Francis Shiner, a Middlebury senior and aspiring kindergarten teacher, hosts a combination talk+music show of songs they would play in their future classroom. Each week, their music+discussion center around an education standard, like from Learning for Justice’s anti-bias standards or CASEL’s wheel framework. Francis hopes to combine their music major and education major to answer the question: How can you use music to discuss diversity, adversity, personhood, and care with kids?
