A journey into the Fourth Dimension: songs that defined an era I will define as the “Black Renaissance”. That is, the distinct period during the turn of the century where African American musicians reached newfound levels of wealth, success, and power unexperienced by the culture in previous American society. Individuals used music as a driving force in becoming influential and wealthy on a global scale. Over time, the genre’s of R&B/Rap/Hip Hop were created and allude the past, present, and future struggles and triumphs of a culture; that is what is explored in 4th-Dim through listening to their craft.
