Over the last two decades, an wave of Irish influence has quietly transformed itself into the reigning champion of American baby names. Liam, a name once tucked away in the shadows, has ascended to the throne of popularity since 2017, with over 1% of newborn American males proudly donning the moniker. Astonishingly, both of us bear the name Liam, surrounded by a cohort of 10 other Liams within the confines of our campus.
Embarking on our show, we intend to unravel the essence of being a Liam in this contemporary era. The journey prompts us to ponder: where is Liam headed from here? What does the future hold for the identity of Liam, given this unprecedented surge in numbers?
