Belly Conklin is about to turn 16, and she’s headed to her favorite place in the world, Cousins Beach, to spend the semester with her family and the Fishers. Belly’s grown up a lot over the past year, and she has a feeling that this semester is going to be different than all the semesters before.

Overture (noun):
1. An introduction to something more substantial; an orchestral piece at the beginning of an opera, suite, play, oratorio, or other extended composition (Oxford Languages).
2. A really awesome radio show that pairs music with the next week’s forecast of pretty much anything (Kate Vasquez, AKA your host, a much more reputable source than the aforementioned). Join me for my last ever semester of college radio, blessing your ears since Sept. ‘22.weekly on Sunday, from 6:00 to 7:00pm | hosted by Jude Kuykendall
Unfortunately, album covers deeply impact how I enjoy music. Luckily, I’ve decided to channel my disdain for bad album art into a lovely new radio show. Each week, I will present a new color from heaven’s prismatic spectrum (the rainbow) while curating a list of songs from an album cover of that color. It’s a beautiful marriage of Billie Eilish’s fake synesthesia and Goethe’s Theory of Colors. Insert Belle and Sebastian quote here
