Phoenix continues to top the charts and Junip made a jump to #2, but the biggest leap was seen by Major Lazer’s “Free the Universe”. It’s the second album from the project by LA-based dj/producer Diplo. We clearly love it here, and if you weren’t sold yet, it’s got the stamp of approval from Programming Director Colonel Sanders:

“Diplo carries on as Major Lazer despite the departure of Skerrit Bwoy and Switch.  Breaking new ground, Free The Universe brings together Dub, Reggae, Moombathon, Drum and Bass, and Dancehall all on one album.  Eclectic yet unified, this LP keeps WRMC movin’ and goovin’ all hours of the night.  Standout tracks include ‘You’re No Good feat. Santigold, Vybz Katerl, Danielle Haim, & Yasmin,’ ‘Keep Cool feat. Shaggy & Wynter Gordon,’ and ‘Jah No Partial feat. Flux Pavilion.'”

Other chart highlights include James Blake, Young Galaxy, the Flaming Lips, and No Joy, with Still Corners and Daughter making their debuts on our list.
