The debut LP from self-proclaimed 90’s-children Jenn Wasner (Wye Oak, Flock of Dimes) and Jon Ehrens (White Life, Art Department) takes the ‘guilty’ out of every college radio DJ’s favorite guilty pleasure: pop music. Dungeonesse proves that modern pop is something worth still believing in, and that its predecessor deserves a fair bit of the credit. While the duo douses their infectious first single, “Drive You Crazy”, in shimmering synth hooks, Wasner balances Ehren’s foot-tapping backbeat on “This Could Be Home” with syrupy melodies and sultry sighs that take a cue from Mariah’s latest. Dungeonesse’s sound sits comfortably somewhere between the past and present, tempting listeners to hit the dance floor and the repeat button.

Essential Tracks: “Drive You Crazy”, “Nightlight” “This Could Be Home”
