Hot 91: Best Tracks of the Summer Past

WRMC_hot91Every spring, WRMC hosts Top 91, otherwise known as the best party/radio countdown event of the year. In order to be eligible for Top 91 a song must have been released in the past school year, inclusive of the summer, and it must receive enough votes from WRMC DJs to merit a coveted spot. After a full year of cramming knowledge into our brains and alcohol down our throats, it can be hard to recall songs that were released nine to eleven months prior. In an effort to resolve the slighting of summer songs and to close out summer programming with a bang, the devious DJs of Digiorno Days and Raw Denim and rumored Summer Managers of WRMC (Chad Clemens and Kate Leib) set out to put together a loosely ranked list of the 91 best songs of Summer 2014. The show originally aired live on August 15 and was billed under the name Hot 91. (It was really hot that day) The list has since been amended to include a select few songs that were released between then and now  for the sake of a summer long list, as today is the official start of fall programming. Enjoy.
