As the great Levon Helm described, Rock had its origins in informal social gatherings across small-town America. As the night progressed the “jokes would get a little funnier, the music a little dirtier, and the best girls would really get down and shake it.” This was known as the Midnight Ramble. So if our show seems coarse, if our music abrades the ear and ruffles the soul, but somehow elicits a reactionary snapping of a finger or the tapping of a foot: do not fret. That’s just the Midnight Ramble. Doin’ its thang.
