Hosted By: Noah Hochfelder
Time: Tuesdays, 4:00-5:00 pm
Description:
Come join me on the sonic and spiritual trek of me pretending I know how to talk about music (hire me, Rolling Stone!). Each week, I will break down one of my favorite jamz from artistic, literary, and historical perspectives. The goal of each show will be for listener to approach a single song not knowing much about it and leaving the show understanding so much–why Stephen Malkmus’ absurd lyrics DO have artistic merits, how Jeff Tweedy’s has reinvented folk tradition for a more avant–garde ear, and why the Dead aren’t the Dead without Phil Lesh’s bass. All listeners are welcome ( emotional vulnerability and a bowl of cereal are recommended while listening).
