What did Homer’s Illiad sound like, passed down through poetry centuries before being written down? What songs were sung in a Welsh village during festivities? What instruments did the Polynesians play to pass the time on the open Pacific? Time Travel Tunes returns in it’s third season, this time with expanded scope: mythology. In tandem with historical explorations, we will delve into the cultural history of dragons, pantheons of deities, and more, all the way to our oldest known work of fiction: The Epic of Gilgamesh. Time Travel Tunes’ final season will provide insight and immersion into our deep past and timeless stories.

Are you feeling down? Maybe getting a moment in your room alone for the first time in days? Maybe you have feelings pent up inside you that can only be let out to the soothing sounds of Crosby Stills Nash and Young! For Cryin’ Out Loud! is your chance to take some time to yourself, listen to some mellow or sad songs, cry it out, and wallow for 60 whole minutes of your week.

These are the songs that my friends and I blast while driving along Highway 1 as we head to the waves. This show features songs beloved by surfers and fellow beach goers across the world. While we may be far from any surfing in Middlebury, I listen to these songs to remember my summer routine of heading to the beach with windows down and sunny skies. Surfs up!

After a brutal first half of my father’s middle school soccer game where Chester had flubbed egregiously and caused an own goal, the coach gathered the whole team together. It didn’t take him long to find Chester, fix his steaming glare on him, and yell “Chester, your head is full of Rocks, Pebbles, and Meatballs!” If you’ve ever felt like Chester, you’re gonna need to tune into this show. In this exploration of what caused my dad’s coach to say something so destructive to such a young boy, I’ll be playing music that makes us feel like our heads are full of rocks, pebbles, and meatballs. Tune in! I’d love to hear from you all, feel free to call into the show when it’s on air!
